More About the BRC Learning Sessions

• The entire course consists of 12 units.
• Each unit focuses on a few specific phonic structures and sight words groups.
• The units have 9 or 10 learning sessions each:

LS1 See and hear new words and phonic structures. Interactive Game: The Magic Words Show Click on a word and hear it spoken. Worksheets: Recognize the new words in a colorful word search exercise.

LS2 Practice reading and writing of the new words.

Interactive Game: Cat and the Words From the Hat
Listen to a word the cat says, and then click on the button where you see that word.
Worksheets:  Practice writing the new words. Complete the words with the  missing letter, and then write the entire word.

LS3 Continue practicing the new words. Interactive Game: Parrot the Words. Three colorful parrots will say one word each. Read the word on the bird stand. Drag and drop onto the stand the parrot that says the written word. Worksheets: Practice writing the new words.

LS4, LS5 Read and recognize  the new words in sentences.

Interactive Game: The Word Dropping Cat
Listen to the sentence the Mouse says.  The Cat will drop one word from the written sentence. Click on the missing word.
Worksheets: Practice reading and writing. Complete the sentence with the missing word.

LS6, LS7 Continue practicing the new words in sentences. Interactive Game: The Words Scrambling Cat Listen to the sentence the Mouse says. The Cat will scramble the words. Drag the words above the yellow line and arrange them in the correct order. Worksheets: Unscramble the sentences.

LS8 Practice writing sentences of your own.

Interactive Game: The Wild, Wild Sentences
Go wild with words! From the group of random words  select and arrange words to create a sentence of your own. Click on the cat to hear your  sentence  spoken.
Worksheets: Create  sentences of your own from the set of available words.

LS9 Try to read  the story on your own.  Practice the new words and review the old ones from the previous units. Click on the sentences to hear them spoken to check whether you read them correctly.
