Bookmarks

You can make bookmarks for your friend and yourself using the bookmark cut-outs provided below. Glue the cut-out onto cardboard paper or any other thicker brand to insure durability. One side of the bookmark could be decorated in various ways with glitter, glue, markers, crayons, construction paper etc., while the other side contains lines. The lines provided are for the user to write down unknown words while reading a book.

Suggest to your friend that both of you are going to write down the unfamiliar words you come upon while reading your books and, once the bookmarks are filled with words, come together and look up the words in the dictionary. Also, you could discuss the words you found and what your guesses about their meanings are before you check their dictionary definitions.
